Microgreens may be tiny, but they’ve become a huge trend found everywhere from corner bistros to plastic-wrapped at the grocery store. And if you’ve taken a look at the prices, they are not cheap! The good news is that it’s easy to grow your own microgreens, indoors or out with minimum maintenance requirement.
Through an interactive hands-on session with an urban farmer, we will learn the “what” and “how” of microgreen farming – about microgreens, how to grow and maintain them and their various uses. Participants would be able to bring home their very own micro-green kit at the end of the session.
A former Forex specialist turned urban farmer, Suekay Li’s dream is to get everyone to grow at least one edible plant once. In the face of increasing food safety issues and the exorbitant prices of organic produce in Singapore, her Urban Agriculture line of products are designed for small-space gardeners who want to grow some of their own food, or for anyone who loves good quality food and wants more of it.
